It stands to reason when you think logically - HR fibres you can add heat so it needs the correct product to ensure it stays tip top. So much so these products are not sold separately due to all the products being paramount in the upkeep. Using the correct professional products will enhance the life span of your wig or piece. This makes it incredibly important for you to invest in a good quality wig shampoo and conditioner as, without the right care, your wig can become dry, lifeless or coated silicone making the hair look like noodles. You may hear many fables that you can use baby shampoo and fabric conditioner but in truth these products just won’t cut it. Baby shampoo has a clue in its name – it is specially formulated for babies and will not suffice. Our adult scalps produce more sebum and it is not designed to have the necessary ingredients for fibre hair. Also, the fabric conditioner is just that, for fabrics – you only have to pull out your washing machine draw and see where you add the conditioner you will notice a sludge like wax and this wax will sit on the fibres and noodle the fibre strands over a period of time and cause a buildup that may affect your style. The smell is also too strong to sit on your head and you could experience headaches like you would do wearing a strong perfume. Washing your wig and conditioning it is an important routine. We suggest washing your wig every 60-70 hours of wear. Washing you wig helps replenish it's style and the conditioner has smoothing and softening properties this excellent conditioner will renew your synthetic fibre hair. it is specially designed to take extra care when conditioning the fibres of your wig so that it is protected throughout the washing process. Also, the inside cap needs to be kept soft- if you do not condition it will become starchy and could cause irritation.
